M-B-C
- Cutback
1. Original.
2. Jalebee Cartel mix.
3. Southern Cross mix.
Release: Out now.
This techy cut comes in the shape of the genre bending ‘Cutback’, a collaboration between Chris Boshell, Brian Cody and
Steven Mc Creery (Tunnel/Limbo).
No strangers to the underground, Mc Creery, Boshell and Cody lay it out
bare, with a concoction of tech house beats and glitched out sounds to
push the envelope while a wash of deep, aggressiveness seeps out of
every orifice.
First up on remixes is Jalebee Cartel. This Indian outfit have sent
shockwaves through the dance community with their wonky tech’d out sound
and hot on the heels of their debut album ‘One Point Nothing’ and recent
single,‘Random Reason’ on Amalgam this remix brings it straight to the
dancefloor.
Wrapping this release up is Southern Cross who steps up the pace with a
peakier take on the original and turns out a pure, heads down track.

Distribution: Critical Rhythm
This release comes from Gavin Mulhall aka Silinder. With
a string of releases on labels such as Renaissance, Kindred sounds,

with some ultra sleek tracks.
Route to all Evil is as sublime as it is deep, with a smooth progressive

Bananas Faster (Ben
Shaw mix)
1. Ben Shaw Remix
(Amalgam Audio/AA04)
Release: Jan 28th 2009
Distribution: Critical Rhythm
Next up is a bit of a slippery one we’ve been keeping under
lock and key. Ben Shaw aka Sunscape takes a look at ‘Banana’s Faster’
and turns out one hell of a genre- track.
Ben Shaw is an artist who heavily influenced us here at Amalgam in the
late nineties, his tracks and remixes for labels such as Fluid, Strictly
Rhythm and Fire set the benchmark for others and through his own label
Kubist recordings, spread the net further with a bunch of quality
underground releases that to this day still sound fresh. ....

M’Ocean
- Gravity
1. Original
2. Feralcode mix
3. Boshell & Cody - Snorkeling down mix
Release: October 28th
2008 Distribution: Critical Rhythm
With our releases being picked up by dj’s
around the globe we felt it’s time to unleash the next salvo in the form
of ‘Gravity’ - a deep, tech house original from New Jerseys
M’Ocean complete with a low slung package of mixes from Feralcode and
Boshell & Cody.
Having a foundation in rhythm in place from an early age, Michael
Tomaselli is an artist with wide scope. He’s worked on material for
movie soundtracks, TV commercials while also forging a name as a dj and
producer ……”Music will always be my
main creative joy in life. I will always make music just for the pure
ecstasy it brings me and other people who enjoy my sound”…
says Michael, and this is reflected in tracks and remixes he’s put out
on the likes of Red Circle and Feralcode records. ’Gravity’ however
pushes much deeper with an intimidating, low rolling groove to get feet
shuffling.
Remixes
come courtesy of Feralcode (Feralcode records)who reshapes a peakier
tech-house vibe while Chris Boshell and Brian Cody (Boshell
& Cody) stick close to the original but wig it out in their own
inimitable style.

Fady Ferraye - Spiral Trauma
1. Original (Feat. Jakob Rullhusen on guitar).
2. Pole folder & Cp - ‘Dig into it Deep mix’
3. Silinder mix
4. Dub mix
Our second outing with a stunning double take from
Lebanese born Fady Ferraye.
This release also features two superb remixes from Pole Folder & Cp and
Dublin based Producer - Silinder.
One of a new generation of producers, Fady Ferraye’s sound is diverse
and open-minded.
His music has found its way into many high profile DJs sets and he also
produces under the guises of - Fading Ocean (with M'ocean from the USA),
Free Jerk Inlay (with Eelke Kleijn from Holland) and Yield (with DJ
Maron from Holland) along with recently launching his own label
Goosebumps.
Fady Ferraye tracks gel organic rhythms and genre-bending phrases that
push boundaries and this is no more evident than in ‘Spiral Trauma’,
which unfolds a richly deep groove to shake any dancefloor, and also
features guest Jakob Rullhusen on guitar.
Remixes come compliments of Pole Folder & CP who create a fantastically
rich and emotive ‘Dig into Deep mix’ along with Silinder who turns in a
funk’d-out re-take …. But that’s not it, as Fady takes another look at
the original with a more subtle ‘Dub mix’ to wrap things up.
